- Break dancing: a style of acrobatic dancing developed by black people and usually performed by males on the streets.

- Swing: developed by a swing of jazz music in the 1920's- 1950's , a dancer often lifts, spins and flips his or her partner.
- Hip hop: it was created in the 1970's and was made popular by crews in the United States.It includes a lot of styles, breaking locking and popping.

- Salsa: a ballroom dance of Puerto Rican origin, performed to this music,like to the mambo, but faster.
- Jarabe Tapatio: when two people dance facing each other but not touching.
- El Baile de Los Viejitos: is a dance of the old men is a dance in Michoacan. It is a funny dance where the dancers wear masks of old people with their campesino clothing.
- Son Jarocho: is an afro mexican dance.
- Bolero : is a genre of slow tempo Latin american music.
